It’s not easy balancing a number of activities, both professional and personal, while also working out regularly.
This means that we have to give up time for our workout or risk infuriating our colleagues, friends or family.
But there are ways to ensure that you can have your cake and eat it too. So, here are 3 ways by which you can continue working out but have enough time for everything else.
#1: High-intensity, short duration workout
Instead of going to the gym for four to five days a week, think of creating a high-intensity, short duration workout with compound exercises. Eliminate rest periods and introduce a few exercises that cover all muscle groups. You can even do it twice once you are able to go through your routine faster than usual.
#2: Make a few timesaving lifestyle changes
Once you’ve reduced your time at the gym, the next thing to do is to make a few lifestyle changes that will not only ensure you lead a healthier life but also gives you more time for your friends and family.
For example, you can pre-plan and prepare your meals the previous night and even pack it so as to stick to a nutrition plan but also make an effort to get more sleep by turning off the television and laptop before going to bed.
Last but not the least, track your time every half an hour, and you’ll find how much time you can save as a result.
#3: Set goals and take action
Once you’ve done these two things, then write down your goals and set about achieving them. This shouldn’t be difficult now that you have sufficient time to plan your workout goals and break them up into smaller and easier tasks to achieve.
